Himalayan Pun Hill Kitchen in Montrose

We had the chicken Sekuwa, lamb curry, and lentil soup. They served it with an outstanding nan bread that had a perfect hint of licorice and honey.Our five yr old daughter kept exclaiming "I can't stop eating it!" at every dish.Truly superb.

Seriously the BEST Indian cuisine my wife and I have had NATIONWIDE! We discovered the place about a month or so ago while traveling through town. We called in a carryout then walked about .5 miles from the truck stop to get it. We've since been back several times. In fact during a recent week off we chose to relocate our truck from Delta to stay in Montrose because of this place! We are here a few times during our week long stay.

The lunch buffet is wonderful. Lots on tasty dishes, and the naan is to die for! Service is attentive without being intrusive; just a precious atmosphere.

A fantastic place to explore more ethnic food than you usually would. It is a Himalayan restaurant, so has distant regional dishes as well as Indian food. The lunch buffet is a good introduction, though is more cafeteria quality. The true experience is the dinner service, which offers very high quality food in a wide selection. Worth a trip from Telluride if you are visiting.

What an unexpected treasure. We hiked on black canyon Gunnison and found this place by chance on the way back to our Airbnb. The food was phenomenal!

I have been multiple times and always go for the lunch buffet. Their food is amazing and so reasonable price-wise. Their Naan bread is especially gold! I’ve been to Asia and this place literally takes me back, the family that owns it is also very friendly!

I spent 6 weeks in Nepal in 1999 climbing and trekking. This was fantastic. The Dahl baht brought back memories.

Great combo app platter and great momos. We had a question about a spice they used in the potatoes on the sampler platter, (we thought it was fenugreek, but it was dark, almost black). It turned out to be charred/fried fenugreek! Really great. Amazing to find on the side of the highway. Highly recommend. Great service as well. 👍👍

Yum! Staff was friendly and awesome. Food was even better! Their curry is delicious with all the spices they are combing to get that sauce. Good portion sizes especially for the price. Mom and pop place that is cute and quaint resturant.

Overall we had a nice experience here. We loved the rice noodles and the complimentary appetizer. The sabzee pakora, on the other hand was too hard and greasy, and the potatoes in the cauliflower dish were a bit undercooked. Dined around 4 PM on a Friday and we had the place to ourselves.

Very friendly ambience and great food. We had lunch (buffet) and dinner (take-out), on different days. Buffet spread is modest but all items are freshly cooked. Bhuteka Rice (we opted for vegetarian), green mint chutney, giant sized samosas and masala tea deserve special mention. Their portion size is enormous. The restaurant is very clean and has Nepalese decor which will make any Himalayan lover nostalgic! The owner was courteous to offer complimentary hot masala tea to both of us on a very cold winter night while we were at the restaurant to pick up our dinner. We would love to come back here in future!

Not very big buffet but food is excellent.

We have been eating at Punhill for over 8 years because they simply are THE BEST. And they are family run from the Himalayas with truly exquisite tastes in ALL their dishes. Curries=awesome; Vindaloo=awesome; Special Chow Chow=awesome; and their fish dishes=DELICIOUS! Make sure to get their Naan breads for dipping and munching on the sides. Truly outstanding

What a quaint little spot for lunch. They have a buffet available for lunch with plenty of options. Chai was incredibly tasty and lamb meatballs are a must try. Service is wonderful. Very attentive, and cleared plates quickly. Just a note for corporate travelers: Amex is not accepted.
